R&D

Q: Do you have an engineer’s mind and love to experiment with new technology to get beyond superficial hype and pursue developing practical applications? Does the discovery process excite you?

We’re living in a second Renaissance where there is an extraordinary rebirth of exploration and discovery of new knowledge. It is even more remarkable because anyone with sufficient curiosity and creativity can participate. New technologies, like GPTs and low-code/no-code automation tools are unlocking capabilities for many people across many domains.

However, this also leads to both superficial understanding and inflated perceptions of how well individuals utilize these tools. It can easily lead to poor applications that produce poor results.

Many businesses know they need to modernize their operations, but don’t know where to start. They’ve got staff digging 100 one-foot deep holes, none of which go deep enough to reach paydirt. They probably suspect the best path to evolving the business is to get the work outside the business. This process can’t be complicated, can be over-focused on cool tools, and can’t be viewed as a direct threat to roles.

These companies need to take more time and put more concentrated effort into realizing the full potential of different tools while recognizing the constraints and limitations.

We’re always looking for curious, creative individuals to join our R&D department. You’ll be tasked with experimenting and testing how to best apply new technology to assist the operations of the consumer packaged goods (CPG) industry. Your objective is to determine the best ways to apply tech like GPTs, automations or agents to create insight, streamline systems, or turn inputs into outputs.

TOOLS:

Q: Do you see a huge shift coming as new technologies fundamentally change how we work? Do you want to be part of building that future?

The white-collar tools used to perform tasks and create value are rapidly evolving as artificial intelligence and automation tools become more capable across more domains. However, this will be a progressive progress, likely experienced as a the gradual incorporation of individual tools, not massive implementations.

We’re experiencing a second industrial revolution that is rapidly shifting what machines run our economy. Our workforce is no longer constrained by the capacity of a few individual workers with unique knowledge. That is quickly being consolidated into massive repositories of foundational knowledge and low-code/no-code capabilities (like GPTs and automation tools) that become a force multiplier for companies when their full potential gets unlocked.

We’re always looking for builders who want to create a business around enterprise-grade tools that meet the quality standards of our modular marketplace. The best tools hide the complexity and sophistication behind a simple user experience. We’re looking beyond vibe-built tools with basic functionality to find capable creators wanting to address two persistent barriers to the profitable integration of AI:

  1. Building Truly Extraordinary Tools: Our marketplace only offers tools that combine technical curiosity and creativity with CPG expertise to create solutions that deliver reliable performance over time and without question. This includes maintaining and upgrading as technology advances.

  2. Simplifying Access to Buyers: We are creating a concentrated audience of clients that have common needs and motivation to adopt tools that provide value, and the resources to pay for those tools.

Our goal is to make it easy for clients to incorporate new tools by creating a simple user experience. Your tool will exist in a marketplace (like an app store) where you can earn ongoing revenue through subscriptions or per-use fees. These need to be polished and professional…able to manage edge cases, handle all errors, and incorporate techniques to ensure stability through redundancy. Tool owners will be expected to quickly update or upgrade tools as the underlying technology evolves or new capabilities become available.

OPERATORS:

Q: Are you looking for opportunities to stay ahead of advances in artificial intelligence as it consumes more and more work tasks? Do you want a chance to be the human-in-the-loop mastering the use of modern tools?

Artificial intelligence is transforming the white-collar workforce even more than the introduction of the personal computer or the internet. The durable value associated with past experience, expertise or specialities is no longer guarantees a career path.

Companies will struggle to reskill their staff to manage this transition. They will simultaneously discover they are grossly overpaying individuals to perform tasks that have become commoditized while facing critical gaps in the unique skills needed to unlock the full potential of new technology.

Our operator support system addresses both of these issues. We provide on-demand up-to-date training that helps existing staff establish new foundational knowledge to keep certain operations internal. In most cases, the integration of new technology will augment staff, not replace them. But, staff will need to adapt their skills to preserve the specialized status. We also provide the opportunity to gain the advantages of simplicity, lower cost or speed by offloading operation to external resources. We provide appropriate human-in-the-loop support to perform work until it is relevant to engage an expert-in-the-loop that manages final optimization or approval

We’re looking for individuals who have the knowledge and passion to develop (and update) training materials on quickly evolving technology. We are focused on meeting the need to consolidate theoretical, conceptual and practical guidance into content that is easy to learn and easy to apply.

By co-owning the training content, contributors can create an ongoing revenue stream. This includes revenue-sharing from both self-service training modules and potentially performing live interactive sessions.
